Support from the Careers Service

What we do

The Careers Service works closely with the School of Engineering to help you develop your employability during your time at Edinburgh.  We are here for all current students, from first year until two years after graduation. This includes supporting you with:

  • your future plans and ideas – whether these are clearly formed or still vague
  • making a start on your plans if you are feeling lost;
  • finding part-time jobs, internships, MEng placements and graduate jobs;
  • making effective applications, preparing for interviews and assessment centres;
  • considering and applying to further/postgraduate study;
  • plans for taking time out (e.g. interruption of study; gap-year after graduation).
